Welcome to the Transform Kingston website where you can learn more about Kingston Council’s plans for a new community leisure facility on the site of the Kingfisher Leisure Centre and our wider town centre regeneration proposals.

Our vision is to revitalise our historic town centre and celebrate its rich heritage to make it better for our residents, local businesses, students and visitors. This will help to diversify our local economy beyond retail and ignite a vibrant leisure and cultural scene.

As part of this, we are proposing to deliver a community leisure facility on the site of the Kingfisher Leisure Centre, which is accessible for all residents, offers a range of facilities that benefit everyone and is built to last. This will also mean improving the public spaces near the building, including those around the Kingston Museum and Library.

On this website you can view our latest proposals and find answers to some of your questions on our page of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

Thank you to everyone who took part in our latest round of public engagement. The survey has now closed and the team are currently working through your feedback.
