Council’s Response and Recovery Committee makes the decision to proceed with the redevelopment of the Kingfisher Leisure Centre and the Cattle Market car park.

Local Planning Authority approves application to demolish Kingfisher Leisure Centre, making way for a durable, community leisure facility for Kingston.
November – December 2021
2023
Subject to planning permission, construction expected to start on the Kingfisher site.
2024
New leisure facility opens.
