Thank you to everyone who took part in our third phase of engagement on plans for a new community leisure facility in Kingston.
We are really grateful for all of the feedback and insightful comments received, with over 1,500 people taking part in our latest survey. We were pleased to see that the majority of people felt positively about the plans with 78% agreeing that the new leisure facility will have a good range of sports facilities.
Other key findings from our survey showed that:
- Around 75% of respondents believed that the proposals would accomplish the goal of making the centre accessible for all
- 87% thought the plans were an improvement on the existing layout
- 75% believed that the team had achieved its goal of putting sustainability at the heart of the designs
Our team is now reviewing all of the responses received to help finalise the designs ahead of submitting a planning application. The application will set out detailed information about the plans and be publicly available to view on the Council’s planning portal once validated.
